Starting the new year...

As usual, my first new year day with the PC starts late and when checking my mailbox some minutes ago I've found a nice surprise...

In these days I've read different IT books (something due to review invites I've received, something only for my passion) and exactly for the second reason I've mentioned I've read some books about Sharepoint and MOSS.

One of the first books I've read in the past months is Beginning SharePoint 2007: Building Team Solutions with MOSS 2007 written by Amanda Murphy and Shane Perran and published by Wrox (I'm always in love with Wrox books ).

I want to thanks here Amanda for the surprise... I've written a book review some days ago and she was so kind to thank me via email today. Thanks to you and congratulation for this work!

This is one of the first books I've read about MOSS and actually I can say that this is my personal "top of the list" for anyone who wants to be introduced into the Sharepoint and MOSS world.
The book is simple to read and rich of guided samples, it covers all the aspects you need in order to start working with Sharepoint and MOSS.
If you're a developer that wants to customize the engine, this is not the right book for you... but if you've the needs to learn Sharepoint and to work immediately with it, this is extremely recommended.
As usual, Wrox is a guarantee...

Hi,
yeah, Wrox is my favourite editor for IT books, but non all them's book are excellent.
Some are very poor, but the overall quality degree is excellent.

Stefano: Glad to see you liked Amanda's (and Shane's) SharePoint book. Everyone here at Wrox enjoyed working with them, they're both very smart and nice. Happy new year and thanks for reading our books!
