Microsoft Dynamics Mobile for NAV

Mobility is one of the most requested features on nowadays business and having the possibility to work with your ERP data also when you're on travel by using a mobile device is surely an hot topic for many customers (I can see that there's a lot of curiosity and a growing interest around mobile features).

Internally here in EID we've developed during the years some custom mobile soutions that works with NAV data, but obviously the actual NAV platform creates some limits on this field (NAV actually is not natively web service enabled for example). But fortunately the future seems to be more brilliant... :)

The future NAV 6.0 platform will introduce a new web service platform in NAV (I've talked a lot in the past about it) and this new platform will be the key for the recently announced Microsoft Dynamics Mobile for NAV toolkit.

Microsoft has preview it a bit at the last Convergence and something more will be available in the near future, but the summary (for all the mobile lovers :P ) is that you will be able to interact with NAV also from a mobile device (like a Pocket PC). The mobile client will be role-based and it will permit you to insert and post documents in real time.

So cool isn't it?
