Microsoft CRM 4.0 and the still missing feature

In these days I'm playing a lot with the beta release of Microsoft CRM 4.0 and I've to say that there are many features that rocks, from the little things (now you can type inside a lookup field, duplicate checker, an improved Advanced Find that permits you to add columns from related entities) to the big ones (a report wizard has been added to the report area, new many to many relationships with the ability to specify the appearance on the CRM menu, improved worklows and WF, Offline SDK).

However, I can't understand why (after a so hard work in order to have a better product) Microsoft has forgotten two little things that I continue to see as basic features for the end user (and absolutely a need). What are these features that I'm talking about?

In order of my priority:

  1. No filtered lookups
  2. No editable grids (like a datagrid for example)
  3. Views doesn't show the total number of records

I know that you can avoid these lacks by working with code tricks on the system, but why we have to work on the code to mask the lacks to the customers? Despite what the CRM Team can think about this, you can't go to your customers and say them that MS CRM lookups are not filtered!!!! It's the basic...

Is it so hard to have? I hope that Microsoft will think about this and I hope that the final release will be compliant with these "wonderful features". CRM 4.0 rocks, but are the little things that makes the product usable...
