Certified for Microsoft Dynamics: only for the giants...

I've talked in the past about the new initiative that Microsoft has launched to differentiate every Microsoft Dynamics solution and finally we have the official details: the new Certified for Microsoft Dynamics program has an official site with all the details you need if you want to achive the "brand" (the logos are really nice... ).

As told in the past, the requirements are not so opened to every company that has done a great custom solution based on Microsoft Dynamics I think.

The requirement that I can't understand is "Your organization must be Gold Certified in the Microsoft Partner Program". Why this strict requirement???

This is not a requirement that can prove that you have a great Microsoft Dynamics solution and this is not a prove that you have the right Microsoft Dynamics competency (because also the Certified Partner level can demonstrate that you have the right competency). This level can only prove (at least here) that you are a large company with lots of employees and with different competencies.

We have many cases here in Italy of companies (like mine) that are Certified Partner for Microsoft Dynamics, that have a strict contact with Microsoft, that have a certified solution for MS Dynamics, that have a solution (addon) that is currently in the standard Microsoft offering for a relevant Dynamics product, that has lots of big customer references for this solution, but that can't show this logo on the official product brochure only because they're not Gold...

Where is written that a Gold Certified Partner can have a solution better that a Certified Partner?

I think that this requirement will make noise for lots of partners...
