Microsoft Virtual PC is a great tool for making Microsoft CRM demos and lots of time it's a great choice also for development. Personally, I've a Virtual PC box with Microsoft CRM and many other features installed and I'm using it as a development environment where I setup and test my customizations.
However, if you're a CRM developer and you work on a Virtual PC image, you surely have discovered some noisy effects: with Virtual PC, you can't select a view column (on system view editor and on the Advanced Find tool) and you can't customize the entity views (you can't move the columns). Not a good effect...
Fortunately, Sonoma has discovered the solution to this noise: When you're browsing to the Microsoft CRM website from a Windows 2003 Server, you need to disable the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration settings.
To turn this IE security setting off, follow these steps:
1. Open the Add/Remove Programs window and select Add/Remove Windows Components.
2. Select the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration checkbox and click Details.
3. Uncheck the "For administrator groups" and/or the "For all other user groups" based on your preference.
4. Click OK, then Next, and you're done!
With these security settings turned off, you should now be able to edit the view columns so that you can resize them or reorder them to your preference.
Thanks guys...
