On an internal meeting we had today at Microsoft Italy, we had received some interesting confirmation about some announced feature for the future release of Microsoft CRM ver. 4.0 code name "Titan".
Firstly, the last official roadmap says that Microsoft CRM v. 4.0 will be on a private CTP stage at the end of this year (only for a minimun number of partners in the USA) and it's planned to be RTM on the 3rd quarter of 2007.
Some interesting features that are confirmed that will be present on this future release:
- It will be multi-tenancy (support for multiple companies and multiple CRM deployments on a single server)
- It will be multi-language (multiple languages on a single deployment)
- It will have the support for end user dashboards
- CRM Workflow will be based on a new .NET 3.0 platform and they will be manageable also from the end user (the end user will be able to create workflow to manage his activities and business).
This is the sign that the platform will be always more powerful and adaptable.
An other interesting news out today is that we'll have the Microsoft CRM Connector for Dynamics NAV for the 3rd quarter of 2007, just after the release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0. The new connector will be based on Web Services.
Can't wait for it...
