Word 2007 and Blogs

Blogs are a so big phenomenon nowadays that their impact on our way to share and reach informations every day is tremendous.

Microsoft has embraced the Blog's philosophy from a lot of time and today I'm happy to see that the blog's impact has effects also on their products. Rumours listened many times ago are now true: Word 2007 will have native support for Blogs and it will be possible to write and post on Blogs directly via the Word 2007 interface.

Word experience authoring post blog

Word 2007 will have native support for the major blog's engine and everyone will be able to set up a custom account with Blog's engine that support the metaweblog API or the ATOM API (the Word blog authoring feature is extensible).

The generated HTML will totally W3C compliant, so no panic on publishing it on the web (actually, HTML generated by word is not so "clean" ).

Really a cool feature...
