One of the nice things that I like doing during the first days of the year is reading blog's posts where authors launch their predictions for the new year. This is a nice game always interesting...
I've see many bloggers that have predict that the new way to blog will be based on Podcasts and I'm really curious to know why do you think so.
If there's someone that don't know what I'm talking about, a "podcast" is essentially a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to. Personally, I don't believe too much on Podcasts because I think that reading a blog on a web page or an aggregator is more quick and comfortable that listening to an audio or video file, but maybe I'm a "nostalgic" and not well prepared to this new way to blog (
).
I think that a blog totally based on audio or video files can't have a big future. It's difficult to learn something only by listening to audio or watching videos, instead reading articles or blogs can help you to improve your understanding. It's like reading a book:how many of you have learn programming only by watching videos? I think not to much. How many of you have books at home and love reading them? A lot I think...
However, I'm really curious to know how do you think Podcasting could emerge in the future and I'd like to launch a quick survey:
- Do you read blogs based on Podcasts?
- Do you prefer standard blogs or Podcasts?
- Will you subscribe a blog totally based on Podcasts and no text?
If you want to spent a minutes of your time and say me what you think, I'll appreciate it a lot...
