Windows Mobile 2005 (Magneto) Reviewed

Mobile-Review.com has an interesting review of Windows Mobile 2005 (code name Magneto), the successor of Windows Mobile 2003.

Magneto is not announced yet, but what is interesting to see is that Microsoft is moving its steps to the complete integration of Mobile Devices and Desktops.

The new release of Office Mobile with Magneto seems really interesting (improved Word and Excel, the introduction of Powerpoint) but I hope that the final release will have more improved versions of these applications. As you can see by reading this review, working with the same Office documents from your Magneto device and your desktop actually requires some lost of formatting, expecially on text and graphs and it's not so good if you're preparing a document for work.

I think that if a day we can write a Word document or a Powerpoint presentation with our Pocket PC (for example during our travels) and send it to our customers via email without be worried of lost of formatting and appearance, Microsoft will definitely win the mobile war.

P.S. Nice to see that will have built-in API for USB Devices, such as cameras, GPS etc.
