As you know, yesterday I've installed Sharepoint on my server, expecially to have a reserved area where to share documents with co-workers and customers.
The first thing I've see after documents insertion is that if you delete an uploaded file, there's no way (or better, there's no a simple way) to retrieve the deleted file. Not too good...
With surprise, today I see on February 2005 MSDN Magazine online an article that is exactly what I've thinked yesterday... why not having a Recycle Bin functionality for Sharepoint? The articles, written by Maxim V. Karpov and Eric Schoonover, explains how to add a Recycle Bin to Windows SharePoint Services for Easy Document Recovery. Really nice!
Now my question is: why noone on the Sharepoint developer team has never thinked that, on a wonderful product like this, a little feature like a Recycle Byn on the WSS document libraries could be really useful for the end user? I hope this tip will remain in their mind for the next release...
